Dan McGinley has had both Military and a Business career. Dan’s’ Military career involved him in three wars, World War II, the Korean War, and the Viet Nam War.  WWII ended shortly after Dan was drafted. As McGinley puts it, “the enemy got nervous when they heard he was coming.
In Korea McGinley served with the 8th Army, attached to the 11th Evacuation Hospital SMBL and the 2nd Infantry Division. Medically discharged, McGinley returned to civilian life.

McGinley joined the 302nd Special Forces in 1956. Dan was the founder, owner operator, and chief instructor (10 years) of "Land of Lincoln Sky Diving and Flying School" based in Chicago with a drop zone and landing strip at Hebron (an Airport Dan built) Illinois
Dan returned to the 12th Special Forces (old 302nd) and activated himself in 1967 and volunteered for Viet Nam. While in Nam McGinley served on a Special Forces A-Team (A- 245 Doc Seang), and a Special Forces B-Team (B-24) at Kontum. While at B-24, Dan built a 100 Bed Hospital and trained personnel to staff it.

McGinley was decorated several times, to include, a Bronze Star for valor, 3 Bronze Stars for Achievement, Army Commendation Medal for Valor, Meritorious Service Medal, 2 Purple Hearts, Air Medal, and 2 Combat Medic Badges, one for Korea and one for Vietnam.
McGinleys’ other Military assignments include, Special Forces Medical training exercise's, throughout Okinawa's remote islands and the East China Sea.. Manager-Rigger-Trainer, Thai-American Special Forces Sport Parachute Club in Thailand. Senior instructor Special Forces Medical Branch, Fort Bragg, NC.

Dan is a graduate, Faculty Development Course, Academy Health Sciences, Fort Sam Houston, TX. NCOIC, Field Medical Branch, Academy Health Sciences, Fort Sam Houston, TX.  Dan has a Bachelors Degree in Real Estate, and Owner / Broker of Home Finder Real Estate, and House of McGinley Real Estate, both located in Fayetteville NC.

Fully retired, Dan Founded and is Chairman of “The Combat Medic Association.” McGinley organized Fort Bragg Chapter 2226, Military Order of the Purple Heart. Dan spends most of his time developing and hosting Web-Sites (www.searchour.net) for various organizations, and traveling, writhing about his life experiences.
